Matthew O’Callaghan is a Senior Deputy President of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. His appointment as Chair of the Taskforce is however completely independent of his functions as a member of the Commission.
Mr O’Callaghan is based in Adelaide and has substantial experience in public and private sector workplace relations issues over many years. Prior to his appointment to the Commission in 2001 he held senior management positions within the South Australian Public Sector. Prior to joining the public sector in 1993, Mr O’Callaghan was the Chief Executive of the South Australian Employers Federation.
